Just wanted to post a little reminder that The Collective's auction for Haiti finishes tomorrow so please, if you havent already, do check it out. There are some gorgeous pieces available and for a very good cause !

Also I think a huge virtual 3 cheers needs to go to Mel of Kookie Designs who organised it all, for doing such a great job. Well done Mel, and thank you !!

Auction for Haiti

Please take a look over at The Collective's new charity auction where all proceeds are going to Haiti. There are lots of stunning handmade items available to bid on from lampwork and jewellery to soft toys and cuddleables. The work has been donated by a collection of generous and talented artists and there are some seriously gorgeous pieces available. The auction is running until 8pm (GMT) on the 15th Feb.

I am taking part too, I have donated a custom glass pendant from my new etched range (shown below), the highest bidder will get to choose which colour and design they would like so please do go and take a look at all the lovelies on offer for this very worthwhile cause.

Lampwork in Heavenly Scent

I decided not to put all the photos that I took on here as that would go on for pages !! However I thought I would share the pictures of the lampwork elements of the show.

As well as my mini scent bottles in my last post, I have contributed towards another piece in the show, I made the daisy for Layne Rowe's stunning blown and cut glass hand grenade.

And from other artists, there are two gorgeous lampworked bottles by Diana East -

and -

as well as some fabulous bottles from James Maskrey which combine blown glass and lampworked elements

details from the stoppers -

I hope you enjoyed looking at those, I will post a link to the photo album of all the pieces once it is online

Heavenly Scent 2010

A very late night post from me so I'll keep it quick.

We just got home from the private view of Heavenly Scent 2010 at London Glassblowing. I have two perfume bottles in the exhibition, both wearable ones and I wanted to share pictures with you, there were "a number" of attempts before I had ones I was pleased with but Im happy with these. I did take some photos of the other artists work in the exhibition which i'll share soon ...once I have had some sleep !!!

Raspberry Scent Bottle

Aqua Scent Bottle

Both bottles are blown off the end of a blowpipe mandrel and have correctly sealing stopper so they can be used for perfume !
